Biography
Abdel-Massih Roula is a Professor in the Faculty of Sciences, University of Balamand, Lebanon. She served as a Chairperson of the Department of Biology, from 2008-2011. She received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, University of Glasgow (UK) and her MSc and BSc from the American University of Beirut (Lebanon). Her primary research focus is on the structural characterization of plant cell wall complex carbohydrates and the identification of biologically active plant components (antibacterial and anti-proliferative activity) . She received different grants from local and international agencies. She is a member in different Professional Scientific Societies such as OWSD, APUA/ Lebanese Chapter, ASFFBC and others. She was elected as a TWAS Young Affiliate from 2011 to 2015. She has published more than 26 papers in international reputed journals and has conference proceedings in around 46 International conferences. Roula was selected by The New York Academy of Sciences and the STS to participate in the 2015 Future Leaders program in Japan and was elected as an education fellow in the US National Academies in the Life Sciences (2015-2016). She obtained a Certificate of Completion for the APLD Program (May 2016) at Harvard.

Biography
Vladimir Kakurinov is a Full Professor in Food Microbiology and Food Quality and Safety, with 26 years of academic experience. He worked at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University and the Veterinary Medicine Faculty at St. Kliment Ohridski University, both in Republic of Macedonia. He was the author of first Macedonian curricula in Food quality and Safety and the founder and first Chairman of Food Institute at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food. Prof. Dr Vladimir Kakurinov is working as an accredited trainer and consultant for over 26 years in the fields of food safety and hygienic engineering and design, both in Europe and developing countries worldwide, with focus on meat, dairy, baking, fruit, vegetables, feed, beverages, and bottled water industries. So far he trained over 1,000 individual trainees from over 500 companies and institutions from all around the world.
