Global demand for food is projected to extend by 70 per cent over future 40 years. Beside the necessity to extend food production is that the challenge of doing it in an exceedingly manner that doesn't impact on gas emissions, water quality, diverseness or fish stocks. The focus of this priority area is on sustainable, competitive and economical agri- & marine food production and process that includes: land-use optimisation, biology and non-food crops; wild fish gather and aquaculture; and also the manufacture of safe, value-added and innovative foods.
