Infections can occur at any level during the growing, processing, storing, and preparation of our food. There are a lot of pollutants (or risks) that will show up in our food. From "farm to fork," good food safety procedures can reduce the likelihood that our food will be contaminated, as well as lessen or even eliminate the effects of any contamination that has already occurred.
